The elusive power of drawing your own boundaries dating advice for men

Tired of being taken for granted? Sick of being taken for a ride? Well, the fault could begin in the way you interact with people. It could well be possible that you start any interaction appearing to be meek, over-polite and faint-hearted; giving the impression to others that this guy can easily be trod upon. Its time you learn how, where and when to draw the line. It’s always good to appear tough on the outside with a soft core, rather than the opposite. Start firm; loosen later, so that people are abundantly clear that you are truly a no-nonsense person. Set your own standards of expectations from people. How much of what do you exactly want from people? One of man’s biggest fears in interacting with others is the “fear of rejection”. But once you make it clear about what values you stand for and what you expect, people start taking you seriously. They stop messing around with you, your privacy and you life in general. For instance, when a woman hurts your sentiments, say firmly or let her know in as many words that you are ready for such nonsense. Either she amends her ways or let’s call it quits. Even if she quits, she will regard you and leave in grace. Next important thing in life is to have a mission. An objective, an aim, that you live for, you work towards. This focus in life really sets the balance and does not let even a moment of your life go waste. Imagine the lives of some great men who walked this planet. How is it that they did not have problems with women? Simply because they were adding value to their own lives and to the world at large, everyday of their lives, through their sole mission. And this focus and aim, truly attract worthy women. Take some time off for yourself and do a recap of the past, your present and where you want to go. What this life means to you. What are you going to leave behind, when you are no longer there? It’s not difficult to imagine. You need not climb the Mount Everest, or take a solo engine flight across Atlantic, or for that matter be a great philanthropic soul – create hundreds of hospitals for the poor; its far more simpler than that – like creating a stable and loving family, or taking a step towards eradication of social abuse in your own neighborhood! Believe me; these attributes in a man are simply irresistible to women. This article may be re-published with appropriate attribution to the author including name and website © Copyright.

Love why two people love each other

Why do two people love each other? Why do we need someone to love? Why cannot we love ourselves and exist alone? And what is that chemistry that a couple loves each other? Why both should love each other, and no body else? Love is truly a mystery. The first reason is of course the passion one feels for the other. Call it hormones, mind, heart, emotions or whatever, one falls in love with another person and cannot live without him/her. Physical beauty is not the sole criteria in romantic passionate love. A very beautiful girl can passionately fall in love with an ordinary looking man to the surprise of all. There is something more that is yet to be explored. Ask a lover about why he/she loves her beloved and you will never get a logical answer. Love does not measure qualities, nor sets any standards. Love happens. Sometimes the love arises out of appreciation of qualities of the other. This love is different than romantic love, but can be equally magnetic. You may get attracted to some persons singing so much that you want to be with him/her at all times. It can be any quality, but it is the appreciation of quality that brings forth this love. In this case the love is passionate love with that quality. In some cases two persons find so many things alike between each other that they believe they are soul mates. Made for each other, these lovers are bound by the common qualities. What ever may be the reason for falling in love, please fall in love because it is incomparable.

Dating struggles of people who stammer

Forming relationships with members of the opposite sex is hard enough for many fluent people. Just think for a few moments about how difficult it is for people who suffer with the speech impediment known as stammering to have the confidence to form a long lasting relationship with a man/woman. I am Stephen Hill and I had a stammer up until the age of twenty-two, at this point I managed to overcome the problem after a lot of hard work. Stammering badly affected my confidence and self-esteem. For many years I wondered if I would ever meet a girl who would be willing to be my girlfriend. I used to think in a very negative way and would often ask myself questions such as, why would any girl want to go out with me? What kind of girl is going to want to date somebody who has a lack of confidence and a stammer? At the age of sixteen I started going out with my friends to pubs and clubs. My friends seemed to find it quite easy to form relationships with girls where as I did not have any confidence in my ability to talk to them. I used to think things like: If I meet a girl I will have to buy her a drink. No problem you might think, however I found it very hard to order drinks at the bar. If I meet a girl I will be expected to phone her at least once a day. The phone was my worst area of speech and something I only used if I had to. If I meet a girl I will have to meet her friends and family. I used to dread meeting new people as they always seemed to ask so many direct questions such as where do you work? I wanted to have a shirt printed with all of the answers to the most popular questions as I would normally stammer under the pressure. It would be so much easier just to point to the answer or to say number one for example. I met my first ever girlfriend when I was eighteen, what a stud! I have to say she was superb and did not seem to care that I had a stammer. She was even happy to order my drinks and food for me and was basically a very nice girl. For whatever reason I did not believe that I was good enough for her and constantly worried that she would dump me. As you can see I was a very positive person. How would I cope if she left me? How long would it take me to meet somebody else who would be willing to date somebody with a stammer? This girl did leave me but I did date her for fourteen months. I did cope despite my reservations and was surprised to find that most girls/women that I met after this did not care that I had a stammer. I still found the whole dating process very difficult especially at the outset.
